Matt Moncla serves as President of Kenosis Operating Company. A third-generation South Louisiana oilfield professional, he brings field-earned credibility, commercial leadership, acquisition experience, and large-scale service-company growth built from the rigs up across the Gulf Coast and beyond.
Experience Highlights
• More than two decades in oil and gas, beginning hands-on in the field on rigs before moving into sales, operations, acquisitions and executive leadership.
• Helped grow the Moncla family business into the largest privately held workover rig company in the United States, with 53 rigs and more than 1,000 employees.
• Led business development for Key Energy’s Southeast Division, supporting 58 rigs from Galveston, Texas to Fort Myers, Florida and annual revenues above $100MM.
• As Chief Commercial Officer of U.S. Well Services, helped generate more than $1B in revenue in less than four years.
Operating Strength
• Serves on the LOGA board and was appointed by Governor Jeff Landry to Louisiana's Energy and Mineral Board
• Brings true South Louisiana oilfield credibility, with the local relationships and field knowledge needed to operate effectively in the region.
• Built experience across rig operations, workover services, swabbing, tubing testing, hot oil, anchor trucks, electric line services and marine fabrication.
• Directly involved in 12 major industry transactions, including eight acquisitions as a buyer and four transactions as a seller.
